I would just like to say a big welcome to the first years that have started in Ardgillan this year, and a big welcome back to everyone else in our school community.
I'm looking forward to the school year immensely and am hopeful for what it has to bring.
I are delighted to be your Head Girl for the following academic year!
We would just like to wish everyone in the school community a Happy Christmas.
We have enjoyed our time as Head Boy and Head Girl immensely so far, from coming up with ideas for the newly introduced Collaboration Week, forming the new Student Council for this year, raising the LGTBQA+ Flag, organising a Christmas Jumper Day to raise funds for Autism Ireland and much more, we have had a busy and eventful couple of months. We have enjoyed every minute and are looking forward for what the new year has to bring.
Conor & Marcela
My name is Marcela Mahon Mas and I am the current Head Girl of Ardgillan College. I feel very honoured to have been chosen for this prestigious role and I am looking forward to working with you all in the coming year.
Teamwork, Respect and Excellence are the fundamental pillars of Ardgillan and can be seen every day in school life. Teachers and students alike always working together, students constantly striving for excellence, whether that be in the classroom, the sports pitch, in music, or in any other extra-curricular activity, and lastly, everyone having the utmost respect for one another.
In Ardgillan you will have the opportunity to strive in what you are good at and one thing you will never fail to find in the school is help and support. In our current situation this is more important than ever and as Head Girl I hope to be able to help and support others in any way I can, to best of my ability.
The last 5 years in Ardgillan have been truly unforgettable, and I believe the best is yet to come. I’m looking forward to working with Conor, the deputies, all of the prefects, and everyone in the school community in order to make the next academic year a memorable one, as we hopefully start easing back into normality.
