Positive Mental Health and Well-Being Week

 Mon, 11th Dec, 2017

Last week in Ardgillan was 'Positive Mental Health and Well-Being Week'. The week was organised by a committee of Transition Year students with the help of Ms. Jenkinson and Ms. Murray. As part of 'Positive Mental Health and Well-Being Week' a gratitude box and a remembrance tree were placed at the reception area for students and staff to use. Also, a large Vision Board was made and placed in the area between the front entrance and the canteen - Thank you to Mr. Daly for his help with this. All students and teachers were encouraged to write a word/quote/vision that they may have for their future or the future of the school community. On Tuesday our committee spent the day fundraising in Supervalu in Balbriggan. Students packed bags and cycled for the day. Thanks to Ms. Delaney for the lend of her bike and stand. The total raised will be counted soon! Students also cycled for the day here in the school on Wednesday. Mindful Colouring and Meditation were organised during lunch for students during the week and students really found it beneficial. Finally, on Friday we ended the day on a positive note with positive messages for each student on their locker. #EmpowerYourVoice
